You need to but note that the lottery people will charge you a search fee of $15 or $22 for South Australian customers applies and must be paid either in-person, by Debit or Visa Credit Card or cheque prior to the search proceeding. Successful claims will be paid after the below claim periods:

  • Victoria, Tasmania, Northern Territory & Queensland: 4 weeks
  • New South Wales & Australia Capital Territory: 8 weeks
  • South Australia: 12 months

Once you have completed the form, you have forward to the address indicated in the relevant Lost or Damaged Ticket Search form.

If the officials are successful in locating your ticket a ‘Stop Payment’ can be placed which will prevent anyone else from claiming your prize provided it has not already been paid.

Same goes for your instant scratch its tickets if you have damaged them. Again you will have to fill the damaged form which will assist the officials in locating your ticket in their lottery system. If you have damaged multiple tickets you will need to complete one form per ticket.

If your lost or damaged ticket has won a prize and you are not able to go to collect the prize then you can send someone on your belahf to clain the prize. For that you need to do certain formalities

If your winning lottery ticket  is registered to a membership card (Winners Circle, Players Club, Tatts Card or Easiplay Club) on behalf of the registered customer, you will need the following:

  • Prize Claim form signed and completed by the registered card holder
  • Original ticket
  • Signed letter of authorisation with the name of the person authorised to pick up the prize, stating the ticket number, registered card holders contact phone number and the prize amount that you are collecting.
  • The registered card holder should sign the authorisation and provide signature identification so the request can be verified. The person authorised to pick up the prize should bring identification for verification and audit purposes. This prize will be paid as per the Prize Claim form; Cheque or Direct Deposit.

When completing the Prize Claim Form you will need to enter the Instant Scratch-Its Game Code and Ticket Validation Number. The Game Code can be found just under the value of the ticket and the Ticket Validation Barcode number can be found at the top of the ticket directly underneath the barcode.
